I grew up visiting my grandparents in the Piedmont, exploring a love of history while digging up civil war horseshoes and bullets with Grandpa Chilton and his metal detector.
After attending the University of Richmond, I moved to Fauquier to take care of my Grandma Bea in the house she loved so much.
It was my Grandma Bea's wish to keep the house that's been in the family since 1891, so when she passed I renovated the home to become Chilton House Suites, a small bed & breakfast in Old Town Warrenton.
Since opening in 2017, we've introduced over 10,000 people to the Piedmont and generated tens of thousands in revenue for local businesses, wedding venues, and town coffers.
As so many of us remember, the pandemic was a brutal time for small businesses. When lockdown forced my B&B to close, I accepted the chairmanship of a local economic development group. There, I raised tens of thousands of dollars for local restaurants and small businesses to help re-open old town.
I also joined the Loudoun Medical Reserve Corps. Every weekend, I joined hundreds of volunteers to help protect our towns from the COVID-19 virus.
