Kyle Pasquarella
( Republican, Challenger )
Virginia (State House) - Code - 96
Biography:

Kyle Pasquarella was born September 17, 1994 in Greenwich, CT. Kyle spent the first 21 years of his life in lower Connecticut, earning the rank of Eagle Scout from the Boy Scouts of America in 2011. In his early life, Kyle was very involved in volunteer efforts through his high school and church, culminating when he helped create a community wide effort to redo the basement and youth group room of his church.

Kyle earned a Bachelors in History from Southern Connecticut State University (SCSU). Here Kyle’s initiative and leadership established the University History Club and he was elected as President of his fraternity chapter, and later elected by the national undergraduate community to serve on the fraternity’s national executive board. After graduating from SCSU, Kyle enlisted in the United States Navy as a Sonar Technician and spent his six years of active service between San Diego, CA and Yokosuka, Japan. During his enlistment, he earned the rank of First Class Petty Officer (E-6) in less than five years, became a Navy Rescue Swimmer, and was awarded two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals and the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal. In May of 2024, Kyle’s dedication to service led him to continue his military career by reenlisting in the United States Navy Reserves.

Upon the completion of his active service obligation in September of 2022, Kyle married his wife Elizabeth (Liz), whom he met during his time in Japan and San Diego, and enrolled at California Western School of Law. Kyle and Liz served together on the USS MUSTIN, and Liz continues to serve in the Navy. As a first year law student, he was elected by his peers to serve as a first year representative to the Student Bar Association, and was ranked in the top 25% at the completion of his first year. Fulfilling their dream of moving back to the East Coast, Liz received orders to move to Virginia Beach in late 2022. The couple brought a home and Kyle transferred to Regent University School of Law to complete his law degree. Prior to moving to Virginia Beach, Kyle interviewed for Virginians for Reconciliation (VFR), a racial reconciliation nonprofit founded by former Governor Bob McDonnell and Delegate Delores McQuinn in 2018. In fact, Kyle accepted the VFR internship before their move to Virginia Beach with the goal of helping bring people of diverse backgrounds and different views together. Kyle continued his internship with Governor McDonnell and Delegate McQuinn while simultaneously serving an internship as a legal intern for the United States Fleet Forces Admiral’s JAG team. By November 2023 and still in law school, Kyle was promoted to Executive Director of VFR.

With tenacity and determination over the last year Kyle has worked to secure funding for VFR and planned and executed community events to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Brown v. Board of Education. Today, Kyle continues to serve as the Executive Director of VFR while

in his final year of law school, where he also leads the Virginia Bar Association Law School Council as president, and works towards the completion of a Masters in Public Administration. He intends to sit for the Virginia Bar in July 2025 and practice law part time while working to further racial reconciliation efforts throughout the Commonwealth, and plans to seek elected office as a Delegate to bring civil discussions back to the House and politics.
