Closing Thoughts
Did you know that in Virginia, there are 11 Congressional Districts, 4 Metropolitan and 7 mostly rural? Each has approximately the same population. This means rural districts have nearly 64% of the population! But the metropolitan districts get a much higher percent of their population out to vote, which is why they control the outcome. Wider population spacing in rural areas makes door knocking and sign/flyer distribution much more expensive and manpower intensive. Coverage by the candidates and media are also more limited. This is why it is so critical for our volunteers to work hard in the rural areas - which includes Albemarle County - to get out the vote so our voices are heard!
Every election is a chance to make a difference, and Voting Early empowers you to do so with ease and certainty. Let’s come together, cast our ballots early, and show Virginia that there are Albemarle voters who uphold Conservative Values.
Thank you for being a voter. Let’s make history—early!
Sincerely,
Nancy Muir, Chair
