Greetings fellow Jack Jouett neighbors!

You may have noticed that two candidates are running in a Primary race that will determine the Democratic nominee for the Jack Jouett seat on the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors. Our current supervisor, Diantha McKeel, is not running for re-election this fall. Because we do not have a Republican candidate for this position, the winner of the Democratic Primary will be the only name on the ballot in November, and will therefore be elected and become our representative on the BOS for the next four years.

I’m guessing most of you would not bother to vote in this Primary, but I am asking you to consider otherwise. The rules of an open primary allow us to vote, and in this case playing by the rules can be to our advantage. Of the two Democratic candidates, Sally Duncan and Dave Shreve, many conservatives believe that Dave Shreve would be more likely to vote in agreement with us.

I would like to invite you to a meet and greet for Dave Shreve that will take place at the home of Richard and Alexia Fox Monday, June 16, from 6pm to 8pm. Their address is 100 Roslyn Heights Rd, which is off Hydraulic. Wine and snacks will be served. Richard and Alexia would appreciate a heads up on numbers, so please text me at 434-466-9101 if you plan to attend.

My husband and I will be going to the polls to vote for Dave Shreve. Voting is available at the county office building weekdays and will be available at your local precinct on Primary day, Tuesday June 17th.

If you have questions or want to RSVP for Monday evening, please text or call me at 434-466-9101.

Respectfully,
Connie Sylvester
