ACRC celebrates Fourth of July Parade in Scottsville

On Independence Day the Scottsville parade was the biggest in memory – at least in the past fifteen years. Congressman Bob Good, Delegate Rob Bell and Supervisor Candidate Steve Harvey welcomed the crowd.

ACRC position was number #14 very close to the front. We dressed in red and the crowd gave us a great response, roaring “We want red, Republicans will win”.  Congressman Good, clearly relishing his lead position, worked the crowd all the way.  In a really shiny red truck, Supervisor candidate Steve Harvey and his family of five, drew shouts of recognition. Rob Bell, with twenty years of incumbency, was the best known of all the many walkers in the parade.

Lots of glitter, lots flags, Scottsville is a place that will welcome Albemarle County Republicans again. Scottsville Mayor Ronald Smith has invited us to Victory Hall and granted ACRC, Congressman Good or Delegate Bell use of the theater in Victory Hall.  Perhaps, for a Victory rally!!

Of all the Independence Day parades in Albemarle, Scottsville drew the crowds, the media attention, and warm spontaneous Love of Country. A great beginning for a great day.
